An Appeal on Behalf of Heritage Afloat
There are a number of vessels within the Passenger Boat Association membership that are of historic significance and form part of our great maritime heritage. An even greater number are located throughout the UK.
They are potentially under threat from European legislation much of which is crafted without direct UK influence. Representation in Europe is the best way to help address this and Heritage Afloat have asked if we would support their appeal for help. The Passenger Boat Association is pleased to assist with this crucial campaign.
South Coast Passenger Vessel Operators' Association Joins the PBA
We are delighted to announce that the South Coast Passenger Vessel Operators' Association has joined us as our second Affiliated Group on a trial basis for 18 months. This Association represents some 19 separate Companies from Hayling Island to Dartmouth.
The benefits are that the SCPVOA will retain their established identitiy but will benefit from the presence and growing influence of the Passenger Boat Association as a national body. From the PBA's perspective the additional Membership can only add strength to our aims.
