Formed in the early 1970’s, The Passenger Boat Association [PBA] is a trade organisation representing passenger boat companies from all over the UK.
The Association’s objective is:
To advance, promote, and encourage trade and safety of passenger boats on all UK domestic waterways.
Like most industries in today’s world, passenger boats are subjected to an increasing amount of European, national and local legislation. The PBA believes therefore that it is very important for the industry to have a powerful and unified voice. This helps ensure that where new legislation or a code of practice is required, it is sensible, workable and fair.
The PBA aims to consult and negotiate with national and local government and its agencies in a professional and responsible way.
As well as providing a strong lobbying force, the PBA provides its members with a range of other benefits. These benefits are aimed at promoting members’ businesses and helping them operate more effectively.
